The people of Mumbai have become sexually frustrated. The resent mob molestation of two girls outside JW Marriott is not the first incident and won’t be the only. Many girls suffer without a word, as molestation is not rape and there are more than 50 people involved. How do we expect the poor girl to remember all of them. Its sickening to know such incidents occur in a country which has a culture of respecting women I personally doubt this now.
What is the psychology of this people who are up to such things and why do such incidents occur? Ask much of the guys and they say the cloths the girls wear. I say its her body she could do anything with it, this does not give you the right to touch her or rape her. If a girl has a body she was to show, you only have the right to watch not touch. But I fail to understand how can all 80 people pounce on one or two girls? These are the people who would pounce on a guy misbehaving with a girl in public and beat the hell out of him. But how can 80 characterless guys on the street loose control over themselves and assault 2 poor girls. Where did we leave our humanity? Are your wives sleeping with other guys so not spending enough time with you or are you so characterless that you cant find a girl for yourself.
One possible explanation I could think is that these people are the hopeless, educated but characterless guy who crowd outside famous pub or discotheque waiting for some drunk girls to come out, so they can just do what they like and escape without being noticed. If this is the case than we have a more serious problem on our hand as people have developed a wrong mentality about the female species. In a country where the sex ratio is already low, such incidents won’t reduce but are bound to increase.
The police shouldn’t say its normal; its just the tip of the iceberg of a sexually frustrated Mumbai and India.
My sympathies with the girls, that’s the worst way to start a new year.
I hate this,
Ninad Dighe.

Hear it on Doordarshan!

Commentaries make any game interesting no doubt about it; not only for what you hear the commentators say but also the noise of the crowd that come in the background makes you feel you are a part of the game. Have you tried watching a match with the sound muted. It’s a horrible experience.
However have you heard the Hindi commentary on Doordarshan or DD national? The above paragraph stands null and void. Let me make myself clear I am not against “Hindi commentary” but the guys doing it, they do the most horrible job on it in the best possible way. Many a time to avoid the commentary I have muted the TV and watched matches, but I could not stand watching the match without commentary so I would turn on the radio and listen to the commentary there, the commentary on radio (mostly in Hindi) is much (ten thousand times) better. Two monkeys in the commentary box would do a better job then the Hindi commentators seriously.
The commentator mainly make gross mistakes every time and don’t put even little efforts to improve their skills. Hear it and then don’t curse me for advising you to do so.
And to DD national don’t you people have money to pay for better commentators or don’t better people want to work with you.

The game called "Gentlemens Game".

Where are the gentlemen in the game? Our cricketers have lot to say and not much to perform. We are loosing the main essence of sports, game between countries are to bring people of different geographical region together and not to start a racist row.
We Indians say that guests are like God and the way people have behaved so far, name calling Australian players is shameful and disheartening. The behavior of Sreeshant and Harbhajan on field is very contrary to their performance. I would sincerely request them to give more importance on their performance, let action speak more than the words.
Much of these (people making remarks on) would not have happened if the Indian team would have performed better. What instigated the remarks in the stand were the poor performance of the Indian team and Symonds consistence performance. We want to see a good game and not the dramatization of the game by stupid behavior.
Sreeshant improve your bowling that what is important, your monkey business does not make us win.

The road to earn.
I am angry, angry at the fact that the potholes I take to office every day has some signs of road left in it. Some times I have had thought of quitting my job and starting a fishery in them. We have had traffic jams throughout the year on the route I take, first because they wanted to finish the road repairs before the onset of monsoons and latter because of the vehicles trying to find a road on the crater of the moon. I am all the more furious because I pay my taxes. This year I have to get a refund of rupee one, but I asked them to “keep the change”.
Corrupt politicians, cunning businessmen and then come you and me. You might be a pessimist or optimist saying “there are pot holes on the road” or “there is a road somewhere in the potholes” the fact does not change that there are holes everywhere. What can we do about it?? A lot of things, crib and curse the leaders we elect, talk about how corrupt the guy we elected is and elect him again the next election. Accuse the government of all the problems we have in our lives and home. Spit, pee and dirty the roads and surrounding, then complain how the government is not keeping our city clean.
Waste water and electricity and then complain about how we are not given our basic needs. Break laws and then complain how we can’t do what we want in our own country.
love people, every one so different every one so selfish every one so unhappy and everyone so foolish. I hate those people who are so content, smart, open minded and happy because I don’t like competition. Now! you will be happy if I hate you but if I love you…….
All this does not change the condition of the roads I travel on. After the rains they will rebuild the road, to rebuild them again before the next monsoon. But still I am proud to be an Indian.
